Poll question: Which is the greatest human-made thing EVER? (maybe dialup warning)
Edited on Sat Mar-10-07 06:00 AM by Random_Australian
I will add more as people suggest them, but there is limited room! (And yes clever people, I mean buildings and such, so no naming great people)

I'll start with the CERN LHC - that's right, 33 kilometres of the most perfectly machined stuff ever made, in a project that geniuses wonder at.

It's that big. And it's all perfect.

And for our second one nominated by me, I give you the Great Pyramid of Khufu, at Giza.

Anf my third is the great wall of China:

So, tell me your own, and I will include them.

3. Food? Lemme edit, I meant buildings!
You can't compare the CERN LHC to food!

:)

At least not on my poll; I'm too aghast.

13. You're right, Pierogies
are much better. If the CERN LHC fell into the ocean tomorrow, I don't think I'd care, the pyramids could crumble, but if the recipe for love itself were lost, I'd die 1000 deaths.

pierogi > building.

19. here's a pretty impressive bridge:

"The Millau bridge over the River Tarn in the Massif Central mountains is more than 300m (984ft) high - taller even than the Eiffel Tower. With its concrete and steel pillars soaring high above the morning fog in the Tarn Valley, the construction makes a spectacular sight."
