What does your avatar say about you?
why did you choose it?

I'll go first: my old sig line had one of her most powerful quotes.

I've always been an admirer -- actually she was a role model for me as she was a very strong woman.

I'm being fickle with my avatar--just trying out the UN symbol for size. It actually hadn't occurred to me to choose the polar bear, but maybe I will.

66. a simliar reason
Isnt kind of ironic that Bobby was talking about himself. My favorite RFK quote is ripple of hope. I originally had Kucinich then saw your avatar I love Dennis and Bobby but I couldnt fit a RFK quote in to my box so I did Kucinich for President with his face as avatar but then saw RFK and thought what better way to have both of my heroes.

49. Workaround until then:
1) Choose an image. 48 x 48 pixels, gif; or easily reduced to that size.
2) Post to http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=120&topic_id=276&mesg_id=276&page=

3) If Skinner is feeling generous, he will avatarize it for you, reposting it to that thread.

4) Get the image's DU server filename. The method for getting this information varies by computer and browser. You can open image in new window, or open the Properties window for that image.

5) Go to your options, edit your profile, copy/type the name into the avatar image name blank. You don't need a full pathname, just the filename (smartwomen.gif, or whatever).

Beastie wants to know.

I picked this one because I'm Canadian, and because I didn't see an appropriately cute Tux floating around. If I could get the one from the "If you use Linux, you're supporting Communism" poster (where he's got a Cossack hat and a star on his tummy) that would be even better! :)

I had 9 rats as a colony once--the Rat Pack. It was great fun to hear them "party" in their cage every night!

But I prefer having rats in 1s and 2s--they become much more human-oriented that way. Right now I have one rat and he goes everywhere with me.

79. Mine says...
that I love Jesus, and I try to follow His way. I'm a Christian and I'm tolerant, and I want people to know that a lot of us do exist. I know a lot of progressive Christians--we're not all like "those" people, who have co-opted the term and IMHO given Christians a bad name.

82. Che
I disagree with Marxism, but I have a soft spot for Che because he was a hell of a guerilla and seemed to be a decent human being.

I've been a fan of him for many years and every book I read I go away with a higher opinion of him.

for what I do. She created a persona, which is what I do as well. Other that that and blonde hair, not much else in common with her:D

88. It says
That I absolutely love RFK. I agree with you about Eleanor Roosevelt. When I was younger, I used to read every little kids kind of book I could find on her, like "Amazing Women in History" books and that sort of things. She really was one of the best first ladies of all time, IMHO.

91. It says REALLY DO miss the Mothership!
I'd still be aboard if I hadn't bumped into that little asteroid when they let me drive. I just didn't see it coming. The green folk don't seem to have much sense of humor, but otherwise they're good to be around. Hey guys! I'm sorry! REALLY sorry! Please come back.
