Did I miss anything on last week's Battlestar Galactica?
We were in the process of moving & the satellite company cannot come until this coming Saturday to hook up our TV - so, I missed the episode completely, as I could not even hook up the DVR.

Spoilers are fine.

Thanks

5. huh?
I guess I picked the wrong weekend to be without TV!

I assume they'll do something to save her - i.e., like the stem cells from Boomer's baby saving the president.

7. yeah.
It wasn't a very good episode until the end.

Starbuck spent 45 minutes hallucinating and reminiscing about her boring abusive mother. She then followed an apparently hallucinatory cylon into, I guess, a gas planet where we see her raptor blowing up. So unless all that build up was for nothing, then she's either a cylon, or she was captured by that mysterious cylon when she ejected.

It could be interesting, given the writing this season it might be bungled.

6. okay, without the sarcasm
throughout the episode Starbuck was near mental breakdown. Lots of visions of the cylon that her in captivity, an oracle telling her that the cylon was coming for her, lots of references to the mendala she painted that was also in the temple, flashbacks to being abused by her controlling mother, and lots of "Starbuck, you're special, you're going to do somethign important stuff"

Then in a flashback/vision, with the cylon, who wasn't really the cylon but some weird between life and death guide person who looked like the cylon, you find out Starbucks mother died of cancer and Starbuck turned her back on her but ultimately thru some kind of vision got to visit her on her death bed and hear again how special she was.

This was all why she was flying her - jet - I dont remember what they're called - she and Apollo or on patrol in orbit around this planet. Starbucks sees the Mendala pattern in the clouds, flied her jet into the hard deck and her jet explodes.

So - it appears Starbuck is dead.

But who knows?

13. Yeah, the only way back for Starbuck is the resurrection tank
Of course they could do the film serial cliff hanger bit where we apparently see her auger in- but it turns out she did eject next week.
And there is "it's all a dream". Half the show was occupied with her visions and hallucinations.
Where did they end and reality begin?

2. The Colonials finally found Earth
Dirk Benedict played the head of the Terrans. There was a huge battle with the Cylons. Benedict's character was killed. It was very exciting.

But other than that, nothing much.

9. It was all a dream
Turns out Baltar is really a CPA with Foreman, Forsby and Grundig, but he really wants to be a science-fiction writer. It all happened in his fertile imagination.

Oh, and his real name is Al Freidlich.

15. For a recap
Go to televisionwithoutpity.com. The publish full recaps of each episode. The one for Sunday's BSG should be up sometime today or tomorrow. Go to the drop-down menu listed "Pick a show here" and scroll down to Battlestar Galactica. While the recaps can get a little snarky, they are fairly complete. And often funny. And they tend to be written by fans. It's where I go if I miss an episode.
