Does or did anyone have cat that would go swimming with you?
I had a Siamese tomcat that would go swimming with us. He got in the pool himself. He would swim around, and when he got tired he would swim up to us, and we would put him on the pool floats, and he would lay up there until he was ready to get out. And when the pool float got close to the edge he would jump off. Dickens was a great cat, he was a guys cat. He would mow the yard with me. He laid on my shoulders as I mowed and edged the yard. He loved to play wrestling with you. He would walk up behind you and smack your leg with his tail when he wanted to wrestle. Funny thing about him is if you sneeze he would look at you and do this FFT sound with his mouth. He was a great cat. I miss him a lot.

3. My wife used to have a cat
that would jump across the corners of the pool until the leap was too far and then he would
fall in and swim around! i think he knew he wasn't supposed to like it, so he had to make an excuse to do it.

we had a siamese too. he was the best cat. he'd jump in the shower with me. used to love to play fight and chase. he loved it when i would hide and jump out and scare him. he'd go straight up in the air about two feet, then chase me til i hid again. he chased dogs too. man could he do the halloween cat. had all the neighbor dogs scared. hell, he scared me when he did it! stormy. been gone almost ten years and makes me cry to think about it.

4. I've always wanted a Bengal cat
Supposedly they will jump in a bathtub. I just think that would be cool as shit to see a cat do that.

5. Not gonna try it with mine, but he'd probably go along.
He doesn't mind water in the least. He likes to invade the shower when people are using it. (Or liked, when the shower had a curtain instead of a door)

he liked to walk around the edge of the tub and smack the water with his paw. one day he slid in and realized he liked it. water fascinated him. he would sit in the tub after it was drained and watch the water drip from the spigot. he also liked to play in the drain, too. he was the coolest cat. i miss him so.

8. my boy truman will not stay out of the tub. He loves the water.
Thinking about taking a nice quiet bath, not a chance. Even when I shower, he has to be in there. I imagine when we swim this summer he will be out there with us.

My stinky love monkey

9. my dear old tabby cat Chester would...
...get in the shower with me and then try to lick all the water off me. It was a lovely morning companionable ritual, and saved me a little drying time, too.

10. My little 'boo' will go swimming with me in my pool.

She's such an odd little kitty. It first started when I was in the shower. She would jump in and sit at the back, on the lip of the tub. She loved it. Then I put a 24' above ground pool in a couple years ago. At first she would jump up and keep circling around and ALMOST jumping in - she would come so close. So one day I grabbed her and floated out to the middle of the pool and let her go...she didn't freak out or anything. Of course, if I want to save my liner I have to make sure she stays away from the sides and help her in & out, but she really does enjoy it.

She also really enjoys baths. Weird little kitty!
