13. Actually, it's the 9th amendment that states specifically...
that just because there are 10 amendments with rights in them, one may not use that to take away other rights not explicitly outlined in the constitution.

So the right to privacy is included, as is the right to life, the right to fart, and the right to do anything you so please, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

2. Probably depends whether you're farting to make a point,
in which case it's an exercise of free expression protected by the 1st amendment, or just farting. The latter case may be under a bit of a cloud (as it were :P ).

3. If you don't fart, then you will die.
So I don't imagine it matters whether it is Constitutionally-guaranteed or not. If nobody farted, we'd all be dead and we wouldn't need a Constitution.

26. There's an excellent monologue written by Michael Frayn ,substituting spitting for smoking
I've heard it on radio (but can find it on the internet) - it's a man trying to smooth-talk a woman at dinner, but it requires the actor to make the sound of hawking up copious amounts of phlegm throughout - and to say he hates the way people are trying to stop people like him doing it - because what's the harm?

Spitting in public has, of course, been frowned upon for years, with notices up to stop people doing it - when it was something they still considering doing.

He doesn't get the girl, you won't be surprised to hear.
