Over Publicity
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 10:26 PM by Liberalynn
Does anyone else get turned off by over publicity on television shows, movies, celebrities?

For instance I am sure Grey's Anatomy is a great show and all, and no offense to anyone who is a fan, but I end up so tired of seeing it's stars' faces all over every magazine and entertainment news program, that frankly I feel no need or desire to actually watch the show. I felt the same way about Desperate Housewives a few seasons back.

I used to be even be a fan of Lost but all the hype just started to ruin it for me.

Over publicity made me switch the dial when ever Michael Jackson, Springsteen or Madonna was played in the 1980's and I stayed away from theatres for Star Wars through out its run, all though I did check out the original.

Maybe I am one of those people who just roots for the unsung-under recognized shows and performers. I just wondered whether any one else tunes out certain entertainment personalities and shows for the same reason?

2. Yes, except I have a limitless capacity for Patrick Dempsy
I find him irresistably adorable and sexy at the same time
