3. LOL
I totally thought she was a Dogo mix when I got her at about 3 months old, but she's turned out to be only 40 lbs. It's a total mystery, although my jerk new neighbors apparently think she's a vicious pit who's going to maul their children. This is my baby Frankie. She's never been angry for one minute of her life.

8. Ha ha! That dog is SO a Dogo.
Mixed down for the size, but still...

The Dogo is quite possibly the BEST dog in the world, especially considering how they've come about here.

If I had to guess the mix...I'd say...that you just have a smaller Dogo. The face/ears are dead on. Totally!

I really like that last picture. He looks like an awesome dog. Wanna trade for our stinky, braindead standard poodle? Please??

14. Dogo Argentino (Argentinian Mastiff)
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/dogo.htm

Frankie has the spots, the color, everything, except she's so SMALL! Not only is she only 40 lbs full grown, but she's small-boned. It's been a mystery trying to figure out what she is.

17. I'm sure you've read up on the breed.
Fantastic, fabulous (and misunderstood due to their limited exposure here) breed that the Dogo is. Great, great dogs. You have an absolute prize there. I think that the 40 lbs size is just in the breeding.

You have many years of happy times with this pup, I bet. Even full-breed Dogos from perfect lines might only get to 70 lbs, or so. It's just 70 lbs of Dogo, that's the difference.

Man, I nailed this one. Sorry, but I do like knowing my breeds.

18. I really hope you're right.
I love my baby. She's a handful, but the thing I love about her the most is that she LOVES everyone, human or canine, and has such an enthusiastic outlook on life. Everything is an adventure, every day is a new day ripe with opportunity. It sounds silly, but she's really been an inspiration to me in this way. Frankie is the consummate optimist.

20. About 3 in May.
I got her from the pound in May 04 and she was about 3 mos. old then. I can't believe we've been together almost 3 years now! Like I said, I have NEVER seen her show any signs of being angry, even when we went through basic obedience school. We need some more schooling, though. She was the star pupil and loved it...we just have to take those lessons home. Hah.

24. Yeah, you got yourself a
smaller bred Dogo. Damn smart dogs, too. Great with kids, great with people (not the best with other dogs unsupervised, though). The "White Mastiff" is an incredible, wonderful dog. Nice thing about them, like most mastiff breeds, they don't know anger. It's quiet confidence. The Dogo doesn't get angry. Example...someone breaks into your house. Likely, there'll be no barking. Nah, waste of time. The mastiff lets the person IN the house, but doesn't let the person back OUT.

And, as I'm sure you know, they LOVE it when you scratch them on their spots!

Good work on the pound rescue, too. Lots of folks pass up the bully-looking kids.
