3. do you mean forums where you can talk or just sites?

I don't visit many forums other forums (outside of figure skating ones which are insufferably boring, even to someone like me who actually watches it) but I do like sites like overheardinnewyork.com because it cracks me up no matter what kind of mood I am in. I guess that's mainly what I am looking for, stuff to make me laugh or entertain me. For about a year solid I haven't been able to deal with 'serious' content, since the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. I'm trying to think where else I go and coming up blank. For sports weirdness, deadspin.com, and gawker.com (which owns deadspin) for gossip. I read gay blogs occasionally whenever there is gossip going on out there like towelroad and perezhilton. Most sites I find by if there is a news item going on doing a google search on it. As far as an online community goes, that I have not found that is in any way comparable to the one at DU, probably because in general it just takes a long time for one to establish and because the admin here do such a good job keeping the interface free of kinks.
