Ugh. People that like writing technical book reviews, give me your wisdom (or links)

I have to write a number of them, and I absolutely hate the idea. How do I avoid just talking about what each chapter covers? Any thoughts, or links to sites you like that might help? I've done some perfunctory searches on Google, but haven't really found anything that helps yet.

By-the-way, this will probably be a post-and-run since it's late and I'm going to bed, but if anyone happens to reply, I'll say in advance that I appreciate it and will read it in the morning.

3. Thanks. It's not so much that the subject is dull, as that it's hard to feel 'creative' when

you're discussing a book that tells you how to handle things in a strictly logical manner :)
