This is from MSNBC, actually a pretty good list. I know there's also an environment/green/sustainable living etc. forum(s), but so many people visit the Lounge that I thought I'd have a bigger audience this way. A lot of it is common sense, but it never hurts to be reminded...

2. Here's another one.
Buy good shoes that will last a year or more. Landfills are full of cheap Payless shoes that last only a few months.
