The look on his face is priceless. "Wow. Is this really for me?" He's the kind of dog who really appreciates you.

3. I always get the two second slurp, followed by the
'is there more' look?

What's more fun is to hide the treat in an empty pringle's can stuffed with old newspapers. It delays the enjoyment by a full 15 seconds. My dog loves tearing apart a pringle's can.

4. What about the 1/2 hour of licking the bowl?
Just in case there is more meat in there somewhere?

5. they never actually let me make it to the bowl
when they know I have meat to give them. It needs to be given individually, I think, in order to avoid a fight, or massively unequal results. They do sniff the floor for a while, but usually they look at me like 'I know you have more, let us have it'.

6. Quit holding out on us.
My nose is 200 times more sensitive than yours, so I can smell through closed refrigerator doors.

7. my ol' boy sport would just share my dinner with me.
Edited on Tue Dec-26-06 04:45 PM by xchrom
i'd sit in bed -- he'd sit beside me -- one for me -- one for him -- one for me -- one for him...

thanksgiving of course was his fav -- he LOVED turkey -- but he couldn't have too much -- it was just a tad rich for him.

i miss him.

8. Budward got into the trash last night and gulped down a ton of turkey skin, some meat, a few bones..
and he NEVER does that.

He's fine so far. Tooting like the Devil himself last night, though.
