It's FINALLY snowing here!!!!!
It's beautiful and just in time for Christmas! My kids are thrilled and my whole house feels brighter with that white stuff reflecting the light.

Now we all just have to remember how to drive in it.

It looks beautiful, Zookeeper! :toast:

Here, it'll be above freezing now until after Christmas. There's no way all our snow will melt before then, however...

4. It is melting
Earlier this week we got up to a whopping 45 degrees. We had a dozen or so snowfalls before then.

In terms of cm/inches, I can't say. But it's about 3/4 of the way up to the knee.

Now you can fully enjoy the holiday!! :bounce:

3. I'm happy for you zookeeper! (and a little jealous)...
It's been raining here for a day and a half..the temperature hasn't dropped low enough for snow..until tonight, but it's too late for the snow..it's just going to freeze the rain.

11. I keep hearing about the moose on the loose up there....
from some in-laws. They say they see moose in their backyard in Anchorage.

That is a very cool photo!

No moose here, but I do see deer in my neighborhood (ten minutes from both downtown St. Paul and Mpls.) and I saw two HUGE wild turkeys outside my window last month. My only moose sightings have been up in Thunder Bay, Ontario. They aren't exactly graceful, are they?

12. Yes, this is what Minnesota is SUPPOSED to look like in December

With all the highs in the 40s, I thought I'd been magically transported to Oregon, only there were no mountains.

13. My daughter, who is a ninth-grader...
was in school and when it started to snow all of the students became very excited. The teacher tried to continue with the lesson, but finally gave up and said, "OK. Everyone can go look out of the window."

We should all be a little blase about snow by Christmas time. This has been a very weird winter so far. I just hope we get enough snow to x-country ski and snowshoe.
