"Paste" has quit working on my computer

Anyone ever hear of something like that? IT just quit working. I can't paste any text in anything. Anyone have ideas on what might cause this, and what I can do?

Try a complete shutdown and a cold reboot.

If you're running a Mac run Disk Utility from your Install disk.

And to prevent spyware from coming through your browser :

SpywareBlaster 3.4 from http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/

Download and update definitions then run Ad-Aware and Spybot S & D in safemode. SpywareBlaster runs in normal mode in background.

7. I was thinking it might be spyware

I used to Aluria's Spyware Eliminator, and I liked that, but I've had to switch HDs and I didn't update it.

8. Maybe you could try a system restore.

Just reset it back to the last day that "paste" was working.

10. Does it happen with all applications?

I use UltraEdit32 as a Java editor and I found that if I hit CTRL+ a number, my clipboard changes from the Windows default to a "User clipboard". I couldn't paste from UE to Notepad, or so I thought, until I found I wasn't using the Windows clipboard.
