I hate ebay!
Bloody well hate it!

I've bid on 7 items, forgot to send money for one.

The 6 people who I dealt with said they'd give me a positive rating. (note that I started with 0 in ratings.)

How many ratings do I have?

3.

Still, 3 isn't bad and show I'm a good boy and people can look up everything I've bid on anyway.

And I can only get suede vests from there these days anyway!

1. they have 90 days i think..
just send them a reminder after a few weeks. I rarely go and send feedback right away, i usually wait till i have a bunch to send and i do it with a generic "fabulous ebayer A++++" message that i can paste in the little window.

2. Tell me about it
I sell.
buyer pays for item, I ship it.
I leave glowing feedback.
He isn't satisfied with the item. What does he do?

a) Contact me, ask for refund?
b) nothing
c) Contact me, negotiate lowering price to compensate for disparaging beliefs in condition of item
d) drop a negative without consulting with me at all
e) send item back

If you chose "d" you win the prize. This guy is a grade "A" tool!

Your feedback will rise. It just takes time. I find that 50-60% of Ebayers will leave feedback. So 7 transactions 3 feedback is good!

I have thoousands of transactions and I'm only closing in on 700 feedback.

5. Point taken...
I should dig up my transactions and send them positive feedback, I always assumed all sales were final...

3. Don't Bid on Stuff That's So Unimportant
that you'd forget to pay in the first place.

Just a suggestion.

There are some people who won't even sell to a (0).

4. A thousand transactions, 700 feedback here
you are about on target. Others I have talked to say the same. I used to take it personal, now, fuck 'em. Some people are too stupid to figure out how to leave feedback, others will neg you for something stupid. I have one neg and its because the idiot forgot to check his paypal account to see if funds were there. Of course he received the email stating it was, but "tends to delete those 'cuz he gets so much spam".

Like anything else, its no longer what it used to be. Definitely the buyers paradise these days.
