He just got transferred and I called the number the CO jail gave me and I got a recording that said to call back during "business hours". The US prison system seems to be turning into a BIG BUSINESS PROJECT!...

I'm too pissed off to talk anymore. I don't think it's too much too ask for the family of prisoners, to call the prison and find out if they are there. The guards are there 24 HOURS A DAY! WTF!

He could call me except for CORRECTIONS SERVICES CORPORATION WHO'S HEADQUARTERED IN CANADA AND HAS EMPLOYEES IN THE CARIBBEAN! WHO CONTROLS THE PHONES IN 2000 jails in this country. Makes phone calls next to impossible and I have to tell you that this company is on my fucking shit list. FOREVER! You want total lack of respect, just call these assholes....

1. I just had an awakening concerning this.

Several other people here explained that to me the other day, when I was ranting about the phone call cost scam shit.
My husband only has to spend one day a week there, and that's bad enough.
We're so broke I can't afford to put the money in that account for the phone calls, so we just don't do it.

My mom just got out three years ago. She did ten years for a probation violation. The entire system is broken. And when she got out she got a couple hundred bucks and a bus ticket. After years of making supermarket scanners for pennies per hour.
