1. I will vote for any democrat who
runs against Bush in Novemer 2004.

I will begin 01/01/04 and will have succeeded by 12/31/04 to have tried every single flavor of Ben & Jerry's as well as Haagan Dasz ice cream. :9

I will be good enough, smart enough, nice enough etc etc etc O8)

2. I WILL finish my dissertation and leave for greener pastures
not, I will try to finish it; I WILL finish it (or my chair will kill me and grind up my sorry bones for paving material. Besides, I have to beat my wife to it (she hasn't started on her proposal yet, so I have the edge right now).

I won't quit smoking (and you can't make me!)
I will continue to take afternoon naps, when possible
I will continue to eat what ever is available
I won't visit my family of orientation any more often than before (they are a sorry bunch)
I will continue to be obsessed with my cats
I will continue my pursuit of a teaching job in Manitoba (anywhere but here, but Winnipeg would be my first choice).

So there!:hi:

stand up to my boss when she is unreasonable

do a couple of other things I intend to keep to myself

try to eat more fruit and less bread

tell my father "accept Mrs. V. as part of this family or go away"

And that's about it!

4. Only one
I *will not* vote for a Republican! That one's easy. I've kept it ever since reaching voting age in 1968.

Dieting/Exercising/Stopping Smoking;Nailbiting/Balancing Checkbook. I'll try my best, but I offer no guarantees.

16. Find a job
it sucks being unemployed-I'm so damn bored.

#2 Volunteer: use my free time to help others while I search for a job

#3 Learn Italian: learning Spanish would be more useful, but learning Italian would help me understand the in-laws when they're talking about me!

18. Weight, wine, women
- Lose 30 pounds
- Drink a lot more wine. Become a non-snobbish conosseur, if such a thing exists
- Less work, more women
- Save more money
- Go to Europe twice, if possible

Many of the above contradict each other. Many finite resources, many things easier said than done
