1. Crap
I still don't have a stand or table for my house plants in front of the front window. They currently reside on the front deck. I have brought them in a couple of times for the night, but always put them back during the day. I really need something or they aren't going to get enough sunlight.

4. I visited the Twin Cities once, and half the cars I saw
suffered from rust. Apparently, Minnesota needs a lot of sand and salt on the roads during the winter. My friend also tells me that it's not unusual each winter for at least one person to be found frozen to death in their car on snowed-out Minnesota highways.

5. Go up to North Dakota, they have not discovered salt yet
and only a little bit of sand here and there (need it for dikes in the spring). Old cars last forever there.

11. Define "normal," please.
I heard this is supposed to be a very mild winter. Some people are wondering if we'll get any snow at all.

13. But before the end of October
we may still have a day or 2 when it is beautiful and in the 60s. November is the month that really sucks, being cold and dreary and rain/snowy--not fall, but not yet really winter.

17. You asked a question of me last week and I didn't get back to you.

I am a Packer fan by birth (born on 44th St in Milwaukee) and a Tiger fan by marriage or parenthood is more like it. I live in Detroit now. I still love the Brewers and have many fond memories of summers spent at County Stadium... Don Money, Sixto Lezcano (sigh), Stormin Gorman, and Molly. I miss those times. I hadn't really cared for baseball much since the strike. My daughter's love of the game and the Tigers has kind of brought me back. :hi:

19. Rollie!!!
It saddens me to see Gorman looking so old. He was my brother's favorite player. How lucky for you! I miss County Stadium.

20. 20-some years can do that to a person.
I have two pictures of myself, taken in basically the same pose, but 10 years apart.

I really have gone to pot. :-)
(As in belly)
