6. I used to...
...but I've stopped. I've come to the conclusion that the downloading of copywritten material is wrong. It ultimately hurts the artists who create the music.

I do wish the record companies would stop targeting the file sharers and instead work to provide a viable alternative to "free downloads" that is reasonably cheap. I'm willing to pay for my music, but CD's are ridiculously over-priced so that record companies don't have to bother with producing good music. They just flood the market with a lot of crap and make it expensive so they can afford to take huge losses on the vast majority of their lousy artists and make all their profits on the handful that people actually want to buy.

Record companies have been so slow to respond to the technological revolution in media that they are now in a position where people would rather steal than be gouged. I don't blame people for downloading music for free, but I think most people would be willing to pay for music they like if they had better choices. As it stands, they are faced with the stark choice between an over-priced CD with one good song on it or just downloading that one song and convincing themselves that it's not stealing.

Unfortunately, the record companies have chose to engage in this massive game of chicken (prosecuting file sharers instead of adapting their business model to a changing market), which they are bound to lose.

2. no
and it has nothing to do with the lawfuits. Kazaa lite, even, takes far too much work to get what you want because it's software's a little clumsy.

I'm actually digging on Torrent files right now.

3. I like stuff from the 60s and 70s...
...and Kazaa was never any good at that. There are other places to search which are much better.

16. Still use it occasionly.
But not as much as I used to, it seems to have died out a litle. I don't blame the RIAA, no one gives a shit about the RIAA, I think it was just lack of interest.

I'm in the torrent loop now too. It's a brave new world.

Free trade baby. The music and DVD industries are trying to fuck me on thier prices in stores, I'm going to go to a place where it is much, much, much cheaper.

Fuck them.

20. Anyone visit this site?

http://www.boycott-riaa.com/

The RIAA is Evil.

Has anyone been to the movies lately and seen those ads where a Set Painter is talking about how much Piracy hurts him? It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a movie theater (and I've seen "The Fast and The Furious" 1 & 2.) He's a painter, he doesn't make points off the back end. He gets paid for a service and thats it. It doesn't matter if the film makes 200 million or 20 thousand, he still gets paid. URG!
