About the lack of equipment in Iraq, or that they are using Vietnam era flack jackets etc.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 66 our "meals on wheels" program dropped these cases of rations down to us when we were out taking a stroll through the deep green forests. The date on those vacuum packed little goodies was 1953. Guess we had to eat the leftover food from the last war before starting our own menu....... It was delicious, especially the 23 year old cigarettes and chocolate bars. Fights could break out for the 2 of 12 packages that had the pears in them. Ebay would have loved it. (give you 43 baked beans for one pear and a candy bar).....lol
