Daily Show mocks Freeper!
The Daily Show just mocked the hell out of the actual Free Republic member who runs http://www.pabaah.com/

And they mention it on PABAAH's site. Anyone who saw this knows how stupid it made them look.

They are such nerds growing up that when they do grow up they want power. This way they can make everyone pay for being made to feel badly about themselves when they were young.

7. I love these segments
they do with extremists who don't realize they're the butt of the joke.

Here's an interview with this guy:

''The 9-11 tragedy changed things for me,'' said Alvarez, who worked for five years teaching U.S. history to eighth-graders in Austin, Texas.  ''I felt like I was sucker-punched.'' His feelings of outrage increased last year as he watched opposition grow to the war President George W. Bush proposed to wage against Iraq.  ''It bothered me, hearing these people talking against the president,'' he stressed.  ''There was really some vicious anti-American rhetoric.  I wanted to stand up to represent the silent majority in this country.''

Some of those vocally opposed to Bush's plans were Hollywood stars, and that was especially annoying to Alvarez.   ''I'm a big movie buff, but I realized that I couldn't support these people anymore if they were going to be stepping out of their roles as entertainers,'' he said.

http://www.chronwatch.com/content/contentDisplay.asp?aid=3062

Let's see. He actually taught HISTORY?!?! It was in Texas, but still.

I'm sure it bothered him when people talked against Clinton.

"People step out of their roles as entertainers" Umm, like Reagan and Schwarzeneggar?

No. 107 is Robert Redford, who is targeted for allegedly stating that ''Bush is pursuing a dangerous and self-defeating path and offers an absence of leadership.'' Some celebrities are included for merely signing the "Not In Our Name" petition. Others are included with the quotes that earned them the ire of PABAAH.  They range from the innocuous to the abrasive. Renee Zellweger, for example, is quoted as asking, "Why are we going to war?  I'm confused."  The quote from Sandra Bernhard, not surprisingly, is more brash: ''The real terrorist threats are George W. Bush and his band of brown-shirted thugs.''

<snip>

For his part, Alvarez said his decision to boycott Bush's opponents isn't cutting into his listening or viewing pleasure.  He's listening to country singer Toby Keith, not the Dixie Chicks, for example.  He's watching cable television and the Fox News Channel.  And while he won't be checking out any flicks with Susan Sarandon or Tim Robbins, Alvarez said he enjoys movies starring Bruce Willis.  ''We're not Nazis about this,'' he said. ''We're just giving people information so they can make informed choices.''

16. He's an idiot
I've had so many run-ins with Jon Alvarez in different forums. This is before he founded PABAAH. This guy is the most racist pig I've every come across in daily life or in any forum I've ever visited. At every opportunity I would ridicule him and his ideas.

I've noticed he has toned down is hateful rhetoric to try to gain some sort of "legitimacy." Though you might not think so if you aren't familiar with him from before.

A lot of his posts just spewed his hatefulness with language that would put the KKK to shame -- and when I was logged on to a forum when he was logged in, I would take the pleasure of embarrassing him at every turn. So much so, that I received some hate mail from him.

On a lot of forums back then - when these idiots got banned the would just sign up again by adding 01 to their moniker, then 02, etc. So complaining to the forum owners was pretty much a waste of time.

But since this dummy sent me two emails with different addresses, plus I knew a half a dozen of his monikers - I decided to try and track him down with the full intention of phoning him if I got another hateful email from him.

He left his 'fingerprints' all over the Web. After three days of doing some searching, I found out his home address, phone number, his wifes name, where they were orginally from, where and when they were married, and her maiden name.

And this was before PABAAH, which now because of it, some of his information is openly on the Web.

In one of my responses to him I mention the street name that he resided on and if I received any more hate mail, I would phone him to wish him a Merry Christmas (last year). That was the end of the hate mail from him.

It was an interesting exercise in trying to track someone down, although much too time consuming, I wouldn't bother with it again. Now, if I were to receive any threatening emails I would just hand them over to the proper authorities.

Though it does make you wonder how much information is out there about you. Alvarez left so much hate over the net --at one time-- he was easy to track.

I hear researchers can get your complete history for a fee of $100.

18. I always post Pabaah garbage on DU
Alvarez, better known as JonAlvy44, is a stalinist lunatic. I find his posts scary, but funny at the same time and to me he comes off as a fanatic stalinist denouncing 'enemies of the people' like Yelena Nitalenko or Andrei Vyshinsky did in the 1930s.

Edited on Wed Dec-17-03 10:00 AM by LynneSin
All my favorites are on there.

http://www.pabaah.com/pabaah.htm

Shame - they won't be able to see the LOTR finale since Viggo is on it.

They can skip Julia Robert's new movie

More room for us. Not like Bo Derek draws a big crowd whenever she has a new movie...does she even make movies anymore?

Edit note: This is their list of 'patriotic' actors to support. I find Robert DeNiro on there as questionable only because he supports our troop but I highly doubt he supports Bush

45. Sign Nomar? I hope not.
The Halos have a long and ugly history of signing big stars for huge money -- and the players almost always are past their prime, or it becomes evident during the first month of the season that they're past their prime. Look at the last "big star" they signed -- Mo Vaughn. I shudder with embarrassment.

I'm glad they signed Colon, but other than that they need to stick w/ their current regulars & develop prospects.
