It's kind of like asking why fingernails grow, I suspect.

I didn't know what sex really was until I was about 12 or 13. Once I found about it, I thought of it constantly.

I might have not been interested in trignometry were it not for the resemblence between the sine function when graphed from 0 to 3 pi to pointy breasts.
