3. Yes it does
I saw Sylvester Stallone in person years ago and I was shocked at his stature. I expected him to be 6 feet tall at least.

4. Others--Redford, Newman, Dean, Stallone...
Bogart, Tracy, Nicholson...all short. On the other hand--Welles, Peck, Heston, Stewart, Cooper were tall. But on the whole, movie stars are shorter than you think they are...and by the way, I'm 6'2"...:-)...

11. I'm 5'10 and single
I always hated dating shorter guys because, as my dad put it:

Nose to nose, their toes are in it
toes to toes, their nose is in it.

I hate it when men talk to my boobs, instead of my face.

There are some beautiful women in my office who are 6' tall. Most are married already, though.

17. Average height for a male is 5'10
And god knows, Hollywood is all about playing to the averages. Plus cinematographicly wise, having a very tall person in the scene can sometimes distract from the movie, or be played for the laugh factor rather than the serious as would be intended.
