What's on your iPod?
...And You Will Know Them by the Trail of Dead - Will You Smile Again For Me?
Belle + Sebastian - Stars of Track and Field
Bright Eyes - When the President Talks To God
Broken Social Scene - Shoreline 24/7
Charmparticles - These Are Your Walking Papers
Clue To Kalo - Ignore The Forest Floor
Dirty on Purpose - No Radio
Electric President - Ten Thousand Lines
Film School - Deep Lake
Granddaddy - Valley Son
Jets Overhead - Shadow Knows
Mars Volta - The Widow
Muse - Hurricanes & Butterflies
New Pornographer - The Laws Have Changed
Sam Prekop - C+F
Sufjan Stevens - Chicago
Chad VanGaalen - Clinically Dead
Yo La Tengo - From a Motel 6

If I were to pick a winner, it would have to be Prekop or Electric President

1. A dozen faves:
Wouldn't Mama Be Proud? -- Elliott Smith. Something addictive about that.
Only Living Boy in New York (Yes, I liked it before it was on the Garden State soundtrack -- I was a big Simon & Garfunkel fan when I was a small chiid)
Lay Lady, Lay -- my favorite Dylan song.
Chamber of Hellos -- Wiretrain. Takes me back to college.
Love Will Tear Us Apart -- Joy Division. Can't get enough of that tune.
How Soon is Now? -- Smiths. Gives me chills.
Take Five. Dave Brubeck. Classic.
Groove is in the Heart. Deeeee-lite. Fun fun fun.
What's So Funny ('Bout Peace, Love and Understanding). Elvis Costello. Love it.
Perfect Skin -- Lloyd Cole. I loves me my 80s tunes.
Tracks of My Tears. Smokey Robinson. (Anyone remember that commercial -- "But, Dad -- It's Smokey!")
Hurdy Gurdy Man -- Donovan. Psychedelic, man.

11. It's "Signals, Calls and Marches"
I have the new album though, and it is awesome.

Can't tell if you're being condescending with that "emo" remark or not, especially considering how few of those artists actually would be classified as emo (and even then it depends on your definition of emo).

22. The point
My Palm sized Rio allows me to carry 500 CDs anywhere. I'm at work and if I get a craving to hear something I can play it. I don't have to lug a big bag of CDs on vacation. I carry it with me on bike rides and listen to preselected work-out songs when I'm taking breaks. Does that make it any clearer?
