Good Friday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Friday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope your week so far has been a good one! Mine has been busy, what with the crazy Clearance Sale going on. But it's Friday now, so :woohoo:!

Greekspeak and his father are in Indianapolis, Indiana on their cross country trip! Tony and I both can't wait for him to get home! :bounce: It's lonely around here without him.

What are you going to do this weekend? I have to work tomorrow, but I'm off on Sunday and I think the only "plans" I have is to get my little butt over to the laundromat. As bad as I hate to.

And so here we are at the beginnging of the last work shift before the weekend starts! Are you ready to get this day started? I hope so because it's time to rise and shine, my crew! :bounce:

2. Good morning Clint!
You know what I'm doing this weekend, at least during the night and early/mid morning.

Other than that, sleep and basic routine it's up for grabs (in the whole 1 hour I have available each evening).

8. It bites, but I'm used to it
I just dream of a day when I have a real job and I have (gasp) weekends off, or at least two days off somewhere during the week. At least four days during the week I have about 4-5 hours of time for myself.

Well, Greekspeak sounds like he's having a great time on his trip. And he'll be home to be with you soon enough. :bounce:

I'm not sure what my weekend will bring. I may go to see "The Devil Wears Prada" this weekend. I've heard a lot of great things about this movie.

I want to thank you again for these posts. They're always good to see first thing in the morning. It makes the Lounge a very welcoming place, which taking off my moderator hat, is a nice thing just as a DU'er. :-)

Yes, he's having a great time! And he enjoys spending the time with his dad too. So, it's a good trip, even though I couldn't be there with them. I want to go see Superman this weekend. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but I think I'll go and make up my own mind about it.

You're very welcome! I have grown to really enjoy these threads too, and starting my day with everyone here is a lot of fun! Thank YOU for not making me shut them down!

I have a daughter and son-in-law who are in the Air Force. When they started out, they were called airmen (even the girls are called that). Of course, now that they're both sergeants, it doesn't exactly fit anymore, but my daughter is still very touched that I chose this name. :loveya:

And yours is from a book?

Thanks. It's funny, though. Most people think I spelled it wrong 'cause they don't realize it's supposed to be plural. And others assume I have a son. Guess I made it a little confusing.

I can't go to my dad's grave often as it is some hours away as well. And my aunt who lived at the Lake Constance moved begin of this year. So no family anymore nearby anymore. My mom lives 1 1/2 hours away. We need to find a way to tend the grave without being able to get there every other week. We had a gardener do it last year. I don't know if he is doing it this year as I never saw a bill for last year and I haven't called him to ask.

Tomorrow we might go over and see the horses if the kids don't have anything planned. I don't want to think about Sunday yet.

46. You would have to make it very individualized.
I mean, I would LOVE a "time stop" command right now, but you wouldn't. And after Sunday, I'd like a "time accelerate" command until harleydad gets back. Can you work on it?

The house is scheduled to take 6 months once officially in September. They're going to get the well drilled and start on the basement ASAP, which will give them a head start. :bounce:

You're so welcome. Those people take their jobs seriously. Just look at as many of them as possible. I noticed that their prices differ pretty much ($10 and $15 don't sound that different until you start multiplying it by how many total visits you'll need). The PSI group seems to have a lot of them in your area.

49. Yes, I'll have to work on THAT one.
I can see how it would cause issues! 6 months isn't TOO bad, I don't guess. I really have no idea how long it's supposed to take, so I'm just guessing.

I can see how adding up all the visits could be expensive...I'll just have to do some research, I guess! But, you've given me a GREAT head start!

51. Most houses around here take about a year.
Our builder doesn't do as many at a time, so he can build them faster. Of course, it's a lot faster to build in a development. But this will be completely custom. I even get to work with a kitchen designer to decide the final layout of the cabinets. :bounce:

Well, yes, it can get expensive. Teach Tony to hold it so he doesn't have to be visited as often.

57. A year!!
Good gods! :scared:

It must be exciting to know that the house is going to be completely designed to YOUR specifications! What a wonderful thing! Tony does pretty good holding it, actually...he hasn't had any accidents at all the past few days when I've been gone for 9 hours and he's alone for that whole time.

62. That's what I said!
Yeah, it's exciting but also a little stressful. I'm afraid of going over budget on something. The good new is that we have over 500 feet of driveway that we can leave gravel (that's how they start them out) if we run out of money. That gives us a little wiggle room.

I figured Tony was good at holding it. That's great! But you can do cats in one or two visits per day, depending on how many times they get fed. We always had to have someone come over three times for Sundance. He held it fine, but was in the habit of going out in the morning, after work, and at bedtime. I'm sure he could have done without the after work one, or made it a few hours later and skipped bedtime. But that might have been uncomfortable.

Coffee's done ... maybe that'll help me wake up. :D

67. I'm sure it will.
Bandit eats twice a day, so two visits for him. Same for Tony. I wish you luck with the construction phase! I understand how it can be easy to go over budget on some things. And now I have to go get ready for work. I'll see you in the morning, my dear!:loveya::hi:

If you don't see me in the morning, don't worry. I don't know how early we'll head out to see the horses if we go. :loveya:  :hi:

54. Morning Clint!
So you've got the Friday morning work blues? Work time will go fast and then you'll be here! Yes, laundry is one things on my weekend agenda, but then it's always there.

I only work until noon today, but I'm getting the oil changed in my car and taking my cat to the vet. I haven't told her about it yet because she hates the car ride. I'll just pull out the cat carrier right b/4 I have to leave. Then she gets to be mad at me for the rest of the afternoon.

Extra hugs for you b/c you miss Greekspeak

68. Personally I wish
all housework would quit. I'm getting rather tired of doing it all the time. Oh well, one of those necessary evils.

I best fill up my travel mug and get outta here. You have a great day, even the part where you're at work.

76. Good Friday morning everyone...................
.....the weekend is at the door:applause:

I'm staying at home this weekend around the air conditioner because it's supposed to be in the mid 90's today and the high 90's and possibly 100 degrees tomorrow and Sunday. So I'm not going anywhere except to the refrigerator for all the ice I can get my hands on.

So stay cool this weekend and keep plugging away at those neocons.:spank:
