Rojo the Rescue Husky comes home

Rojo is a Siberian Husky I rescued from Oklahoma out here to Colorado. He's still rather jumpy, having been on the run for some time. Plus, he's missing a fang. :)
In other words, he's a worldly pup from the wrong side of the tracks. He's challenging everybody, except me (he only did that once).
Thought I'd share his first snaps.
We decided to take him up to meet his cousins, the team he'll (hopefully) be pulling with come snow. First we had to stop by the ambulance barn, as my girlfriend needed to replenish some supplies.
He couldn't keep his nose out of stuff. Here, he thinks something in the ambulance is for him:

He was especially interested in the line of firefighters' clothes and boots:

Eventually we got up the hill. There was much, much sniffing. The gold/red/orange/whatever one in the back is Krishna, who also lives with us:

Ah, only a matter of time. Much training ahead, but he's growing more comfortable every day with the idea of square meals and lots of love.

I never thought I would find blue-eyed dogs appealing, but those dogs are just gorgeous. I especially love the hot tub pic.

3. Well, to be accurate

...only one of Rojo's eyes is blue. And only in the middle. The other is, er, amber (brown). :D

Krish has one seriously blue eye, tho'. :hi:

Been wondering how the plan was going. Looks like the team was civil.

Get the impression you have a firm hand. Good, the lad will be feeling more secure in no time knowing he has a good Alpha lppking to his well being. ;)
