To make himself to appear a solid 5'10? I heard Bush wears them.

3. I hope not
I'm 5'7"" and he would win the solid support of me and people like me in the Short Guys' Voting Bloc if he cleaned Bush's clock with a visible 6 inch height deficit.

6. Dunno, but they shouldn't have put Dean next to Kerry in the last debate.
It made Dean look like a midget. But then again, everybody on stage looks like a midget next to that giant freak John F. Kerry. :P

8. It's almost like they do it on purpose.
They should be putting Dean in between Kucinich and Lieberman.

11. No worries....
Dean can hold his own...he has something inside of him that gives him confidence that over rides the shallowness of any one.

15. They should put him next to Sharpton
So that he looks "slimmer" as well. (as long we're approaching this from a beauty contest standpoint)

9. Would we be having this discussion
if a woman was running?

13. nope
we'd be having some variation on the beauty contest theme if it were a woman. We'd be carping about her clothes, her hair, or how thin or fat she is.

12. What is the height of all the candidates?
Not that it matters. Just interesting. And,of course, Ms. Braun gets a handicap.

16. It is not a lady's fault she may be shorter.
I think. Now, I think Carole has more than enough stature to pound her adversaries into submission. Is that what you were asking? Of course, it is not a man's fault he may be shorter. What did I get myself into?! :)

18. Estimated heights
From this article: http://www.hillnews.com/living/102903_here.aspx

"John Kerry, who stands in at about 6´4´´ (presumably including the hair). Going down the line is Dick Gephardt at 6´1´´, then John Edwards at about 6´ even. Al Sharpton measures up at about 5´11´´, Wesley Clark 5’10”, Howard Dean about 5´9´´, Joe Lieberman 5´8´´, Dennis Kucinich 5´7´´ and, finally, Carol Moseley Braun at, we’ll say, 5´4´"

George W. Bush is about 5'11", I believe.

19. Thanks for the info!
I guess just stupid facts. Wonder about historical significance, if any. Leaning to Dean, myself, but far from being firm.

17. I don't think he will.
I just don't think he will wear platform shoes just so he can look taller than Bush.
