Poll question: Have you ever worked out with a Medicine Ball?
When I was in school, we still had medicine balls. It was a huge, useless, leather ball which you were forced to toss around in order to improve your posture, or some shit like that.

2. Everlast makes them 4-15 lbs.
I think they're effective for explosive power. I used to train with weighted gloves and a heavier weapon before a competition. Once you get used to that, you'll be faster with less effort once you have no weight added.

4. My research is inconclusive.
On google I've found reference to medicine balls anywhere between 9 and 35 lbs. The ones I remember probably weighed about 15-20 lbs.

went out of vogue

just one of those was way more exciting than all the dunks in the playground.

Personally, I blame Connie Hawkins and Julius Erving for destroying basketball.

16. Never heard of a medicine ball.
What does it look like?

I'm imagining those funny balls that people do sit ups or push ups on (or as my younger family does - just play around with it).
