Name 5 people you would want to be stranded on an island with
For the sake of fun:
One set of people you know/family/friends/whoever you want

and one set of people you don't know really (writers, movie stars, etc) - and since this is all make believe - they can be living or dead (ok, spending time with a corpse would not be too much fun, so they would be alive in this case).

Set one:
Mom (since passed on, so yeah, she tops the list)
Dad
Wife
Daughter
Best friend James

Set two:
Richard Feynman (Physicist, deceased)

Douglas Hofstadter - interesting writing in math and such

Richard simmons - I'd put his hyperactive ass to work

Angelina Jolie - just to save you all the bullshit in the news 24x7 about her and pitt. Consider it a favor.

One of the Iron Chefs - they can cook something out of anything and make it taste good.

1. Here goes:
Gina Lynn
Amber Lynn
Ginger Lynn
Tianna Lynn
and Bob Pollard.

Oh, and fuck the family. They're the LAST people I want to be stranded on a desert island with - we'd never stop fighting. I'd rather have some porn stars and a guy who can create beautiful melodies out of thin air to keep me company for the rest of my isolated life.

2. How about bush on the island?
We could make him the water boy, throw him in a pink tutu, and call him friday.

4. I'd call him much worse than that.
Actually, it'd be a hoot and a half to see Bush stranded on a desert island somewhere, forced to fend for himself, without Air Force One to pick him up and take him back to his fake-ass ranch.

Just don't let him get stranded on MY Fantasy Island....

10. My set
Family/friends:

Husband: He's the original Mr FixIt and, well, I love him and would feel lost without him.

Mom: Great cook (she could have been an Iron Chef), excellent survivor skills and just a nice person

Brother: Funny as hell and also a Mr FixIt

Grandpa John: Mom's dad. Did surveying in the Canadian NW, 1890's, did the Alaskan gold rush and served in the Spanish-American War. Tough SOB and I want to hear those stories.

Nephew John: Hi John

Set Two: Mainly people to talk with and they have to have great stories

Bill Clinton: Positive attitude, nothing seems to get him down

Carl Sagan: Just because

John Gardner or Evan S. Connell: Love their books

Edith Head: Hollywood clothes designer from the Golden Era, she has to have major dish.

Geoffrey Chaucer: Talk about stories

Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 11:08 AM by LeftyMom
List one:
LeftyKid (because I'd be miserable without him)
flvegan (because being on an island someplace would be kinda romantic)
My friend Jenn (she's fun to have around and good with kids)
My mother (finally! someplace she can't get into too much trouble!)
LeftyKid's Dad (because my son would miss him and he and I are still good friends)

List two (I am assuming that if dead people are okay fictional ones are all right too):
Hugh Farnham (having a very intelligent survivalist around could prove useful)
Carl Sagan (having an astronomer around means having a pretty good idea of where you are, also a good conversationalist)
Jeff Corwin (what if the island has snakes or something?)
Two draft picks to be named later
