1. well on one hand it means that disney will have to do a hand drawn movie
and hire good artists to duplicate the original style. But as far as plot twists go... So now the stepmother is witch with the power to turn back time??? if she had that kind of power the whole first movie would have been irrelevant. She could have married the king or made her daughters beautiful or something.

4. my guilty secret
one of many, I guess, but when I have just had it with how cynical and "ironic" everything and everybody (myself included) have become and need an antidote, I pop in the Cinderella VHS cassette and watch as sincere and earnest good triumphs over meanness. I've only done it once or twice but it was a really effective booster shot.

There was a Cinderella II?
Anyhow, sounds good to me. Happily Ever After's the size of a freaking kitchen somedays. ;)

3. Well, if our heroine grows a pair and bitch-slaps the stepmother
as I so desperately wanted her to do in the first movie, I'll consider it a worthy use of animatory efforts.

6. I know what you mean, but our heroine shows a little more spine
than most of the walk-through-it cartoon beauties of those days and times. That step-mother is one evil villain though, because she's got the psychological abuse thing going on.

5. Oh dear.
Yet another Disney "take an old tale and totally bugger it up in so many ways it's difficult to comprehand"...I suppose we shouldn't really be surprised.

P.S. I enjoyed the rant - check your inbox.

7. Cinderella III - The Search for More Money
(sorry Spaceballs - at least any sequel to yours wouldn't be so obviously greedy)

8. I think you are dead right about it.
The trailer even makes it look like they plan to recycle the original footage in a "re-interpreted, re-imagined, re-presented" way.
