Save the whales...still
When the International Whaling Commission (IWC) meets on June 16-20 in
St. Kitts, the Japanese government is determined to overturn the 20
year-old international ban on whaling. We cannot let this happen.

Please join me by contacting your President, Prime Minister, Chancellor
or Premier and urge them to stop Japan from reversing the whaling ban.
To learn more about what each of us can do to help protect our world's
whales, please visit http://www.stopwhalingnow.org, or the website specific to the efforts in your country (listed below).

Thank you for joining me in the fight to help protect these magnificent
beings.

4. The Japanese whaling fleet is out right now.
Corruption, pure and simple, diabolically turning countries signed into the IWC against the common, ethical view on whaling.

Greed once again rears it's ugly head.

Excellent post, thanks!

11. The whole sordid story of Japan's greedy subsidized whale industry...

The Pet Food company is Hakudai

This year I was commissioned by a British newspaper to research a Japanese company called Hakudai, which was reputed to be putting whale meat into dog food. Japan has a huge surplus of whale meat and they are trying to find new ways to market it including ice cream. Whale meat is in such over supply that it is the same price as chicken.
