I won the lottery!

Well, technically -- I bought a Super Lotto ticket today, the goal of which is to match five numbers plus the "mega" number.

Shockingly, I matched three out of five numbers PLUS the mega number. I raced back to the convenience store, anticipating a small fortune -- after all, the odds of three out of five numbers plus the mega number was roughly 1 in 5,000.

Since payouts are based on the total jackpot, and since the total jackpot was $48 million so far, I was expecting at least $1,000.

Of course, God was screwing with me, like always, because I found out I'm only going to get about $70. Obviously, I'll take it, but I was really hoping for something more. I mean, come on, so few people hit 3/5 and the mega number, so that should be worth something, right?

Apparently, if I had matched one more number, that'd be worth about $2,000, and if I had matched all five numbers, but not the mega number, that'd be $100,000 or so, and of course, 5/5 + mega = $48 million.

Ah well, I'll still take the $70.

The more complicated the Starbucks order, the bigger the asshole. If you walk into a Starbucks and order a "decaf grande half- soy, half-low fat, iced vanilla, double-shot, gingerbread cappuccino, extra dry, light ice, with one Sweet-n’-Low and one NutraSweet" ooh, you’re a huge asshole.

Thank goodness my order isn't that long!
