If you had to go "back to where you came from" where would you go?
Having ancestors coming from several different places, I guess that I would have a choice rather than being split into several parts. I recently found a geneology page about my paternal grandmother's family. One of the ancesteral cities was Kampen, Overijessel. Never having heard of Overijssel, I looked it up and found out that it was in the Netherlands. For some reason, I was just thrilled to be Dutch and decided that is where I would go if I had go back to where I came from.
Where would you choose to go if you had a choice to go back to an ancesteral homeland? I know that some DUers have more homelands than others.

34. Ha! Your ancestors immigrated across the Bering Strait!
So gitcher waders on.:silly:

Seriously, we're all immigrants, just with different dates on our passports (those that have them). Originally, we all came from Africa, some more recently than others, but that's a quibble.

I don't think Africa wants us back, so we need to find some other way to deal.

2. On the Borderline
Either the English/Scottish border for my Dad's side or the Alsace Region of France, which is either French or German, depending on who won the last war.

So, I'm an on the edge woman. :-)

3. Oh geez...
I have to choose between:

Germany
France
the UK
Austria
French Canada

for starters... I'd probably pick Germany, since I loved living there, and I speak the language decently.
