Has anyone read "The Seven Daughters of Eve"?

Supposedly about the seven women who are the foremothers of all of us?

Sounds quite interesting.

3. It's a good book.
Not all of humanity from seven women, by the way. The title comes from the fact that everyone alive today is descended from at least one of these seven women (none of them were literally sisters, it's likely, and none of them were actually daughters of the Mitochondrial Eve), and by extension, from Mitochondrial Eve herself.

Each of the seven women was the first to carry a particular mitochondrial DNS mutation, which she passed down to her descendants. Everyone alive has at least one of these markers.

4. Mitochondrial Eve is a neat thing to read about, I agree....
There is so much about ourselves that we don't understand or know, and maybe never will. Personally, I find that fascinating!
