Poll question: Remember the Ten Percenters?
In the days and months following 9-11-2001, were you a proud ten percenter?

(If you don't know what a "ten percenter" was, then you probably weren't one.)

2. Are we allowed to ask what Ten Percenters were?
I haven't heard the term used (in this context) before - possibly because I'm stuck over here in England.

6. In that case, even though I'm not American...
And thus not counted in the approval rating, I was a 10 percenter.

7. Ahhh, I see.
In that case - good for you.

Ironically it's at times like that it's even more imperative that there is critical study of leadership. Our own government has been given far too much of a free-ride.

One of the most beautiful parts of the country (excluding Wycombe itself).

8. I was one though I didn't know the term at the time
As soon as I woke up that morning and saw what was happening on the news I felt like something was even more wrong than we knew. As we all watched that idiot bounce about the country before finally saying something I was shocked and revolted at his cowardice and lack of leadership. When all the sheeple rallied around him it felt like the fucking Twilight Zone. I was sure they were watching different news broadcasts than I was and this was back before I was getting most of my info online so it's not even because of that.

10. I'm ashamed to say that I wasn't
I hated Bush before 9/11, but I would have been one of those who "approved" of his job in its aftermath. I didn't like him per se (SP?) but I supported going into Afghanistan to get Bin Laden (and I still do.) I stopped listening to what he had to say when Bin Laden got away at Tora Bora, and I became more alarmed when he was sabre-rattling with Iraq. In the case of Iraq, my approach was to let the inspectors do their job, and to have a coalition consensus against Saddam if he really did have WMD's. Of course, Bush was proven wrong, and it only reinforces fact that he is scum.

I wondered about his level of responsibility in it back then. I thought the whole thing was incompetence at it's worst.

22. I was incredulous that his popularity *increased*
short of fleeing the country, I can't imagine a *worse* example of "leadership" than what the towel-snapping frat boy sociopathic coward exhibited on 9-11 and 9-12.

and wanted someone to pay, but I would never have said "I approve of GWB" Not ever.

And I thought we ran into Afghanistan way too fast...and of course I never supported going to war with Iraq.
