Any opinions on this? There was another group called "The Neville Brothers" that recorded a song called "Thank You Sista Rosa". I wonder if she sued that group too. Probably not.

1. The thing is, they don't even mention her name
in the song, only a little quip on "moving to the back of the bus"

Free speech my ass.

2. Well
They DO mention her name. It's the title of the song. But I believe that it should be protected under the First Amendment because it IS actually a tribute to her.

3. Even if it is not a tribute....
can you trademark a name? If so, I am going to file for a trademark right away and sue every other Brian out there using my name for profit.

4. its a tribute
to Rosa Parks by two black guys who appreciate what she did for civil rights. Someone had to have put her up to this and told her bullshit.

I think a court ruled against Spike Lee on trying to copyright his name. That's when he sued Spike TV.
