21. No. Penn Jillette named his daughter Moxie Crimefighter.
Jason Lee named his son Pilot Inspektor for some Scientology reason.

27. Crimefighter as a middle name is beyond stupid, but "Moxie" isn't
I've never heard it before, but it isn't any dumber than "Hope" or "Faith" or any other descriptive characteristic

"Lourdes" but I think it's a beautiful name for a girl.

named Lourdes, elementary school, back in the sixties.

It is not an uncommon name at all in Spanish speaking countries.

7. Dweezel was not his given name
his name on his birth certificate was much more common (James or John I think) but his parents always called him Dweezel. When he turned 18 he had it legally changed.

13. He was six when he changed it
Dweezil was a nickname Frank had for his wife Gail's little toe.

They wanted that to be his birth name, but the Presbyterian Hospital in L.A., the only one doing natural childbirth in 1969, would not let them name him that, stalling them on the paperwork as Gail was in serious labor. So Frank picked band names and strung them together - Euclid James Ian Zappa. (The nurses also did not like that the Zappas named "Music" as their religion, lol)

They always called him Dweezil, so when he was six and found out his real name was boring, he had it legally changed.

As Frank always said, it was the last name that gets you in trouble. :-)

Plus, as he also said, "consider the beauty of a name like Ralph." (No offense to any Ralphs reading this) :D

37. Prince Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson, and Prince Michael II (aka Blanket)
I think that Paris Jackson sounds lovely. But naming a child after an older child seems harsh. The Blanket nickname is more than a little odd.

15. Why do people get so freaked about "Apple?"
My grandmother's name was "Rose." I have an old friend named "Heather." Another friend has a daughter named "Lily," and his mother is "Olive."

Maybe if the kid was named "Kumquat" I'd take exception, but "Apple" is pretty, and there are plenty of plant names.

Or ridicule him forever.

Thre is no need to name a child such a devisive name.

It's not like Moses is some made-up, bizarre name.

23. yes it has a different connotation
Let's name the kid Job . . . or Lot. . . .

Again it isn't made up. but it would cause the kids to ridicule him.

24. For heaven's sake. There are any number of names kids can use...
to ridicule others.

My name was used to tease me, and I'm a "Cathy", for crying out loud.

Moses is pretty tame.

28. No worries Cathy :)
I wouldn't have teased you...... :)

I agree Moses is pretty tame, but it IS uncommon, unlike Noah or David.

I was freaked out at the interns naming kids..... urethra or fallopian.

But no talent celebrities like Paltrow seem to think the world revolves around them and the kid is a trophy or something. It's appalling!

26. Not really.
There is a Moses in my daughter's school and another in my nephew's school.

The name is not as out of fashion as you would think. He probably won't be teased any more than any other kid.
