2. That's him!
If history is any guide, the station will likely play an oh-so-funny Muslim slur skit in the next few minutes. I can hardly wait.

4. Me, too. That song fucking sucked, the band fucking sucked,
and their fans fucking suck.

They have to be one the shittiest bands ever to be so popular.

Pure garbage. PURE. Garbage.

5. Yeah, but
Bob Dylan wrote the song, so he shares in the suckage with GnR.

The only time I ever enjoyed the song was watching Television play it, and they could've sung the phone book and made it rock.

6. There will probably be an encore
The station usually plays "Welcome to the Jungle" or "You Could Be Mine" at least once a day. Sometimes they mix it up with "Live and Let Die."

I can understand that, at the time, they were a welcome change from Poison, Whitesnake, et al., but that's no excuse to play them no, god dammit!

7. Welcome to the Jungle is even worse!
That song is UberShit! Ubershit to the millionth degree!

How could anyone ever listen to that song, and on first hearing not just laugh out loud and totally disregard the band after that?

Such hellacious, awful, ridiculous shit.

"Hi, I'm Slash. I'm the guitarist who stands at an angle with his feet spread apart, wearing a top hat. I don't know how to play the thing, so I have to go on image, as the slant-standing hat-wearing frizzy-haired guitarist."

"Hi, I'm Axl Rose, I'm the singer who wears a headband. I don't have any singing talents, so I have to go by image just like Slash does."

"Hi, we're Guns N Roses, we're the band with the singer who wears a headband and the guitarist who stands at an angle while wearing a top hat. Not to be confused with the band with the singer who wears a headband and the guitarist who wears an open collar shirt, has frizzy hair, and plays a flying-V. Or the band with the singer with a headband and the guitarist with the shaved head and the tattoo of the dragon."

13. Sure he can play better than me - I'm not a guitarist.
Who cares if he can play better than I can? What, that somehow makes me incapable of telling how much he sucks? That's pure bullshit. That line of thinking makes it impossible to criticize a president, an actor, your plumber, your homebuilder, etc. etc. etc.

Slash sucks a guitarist - does he suck as much as someone who can't play at all? No. Does he suck as a so-called professional? Yes. He's sophomoric at best, and that's giving him a lot more credit than he deserves. He's unoriginal, derivative, cliche-laden, uninteresting, uncreative, and uninspiring. Everything that an artist should NOT be.

14. He can play
He can play quite well, actually. There's plenty of ways he can suck, but criticise him for something that's valid, at least.

16. Okay then, your criticism is valid - I shall critique him appropriately.

He sucks as a musician and as an artist; he is mediocre, but doesn't suck, as a guitarist.

You are right, I shouldn't say "he sucks as a guitarist" when I mean "he sucks as an artist and as a musician", since he does, in fact play in tune and he does know, at least on some level, how to play it, construct chords, and construct guitar solos - vapid, empty, and almost laughable though they be.

Thank you for not letting me get away with my rather sloppy and in accurate use of language. Ironically, the same thing I despise Slash for in his guitar "playing".

12. I liked 'em, and still listen to "Appetite" now and again.
And I'm not a schmuck, promise.

Every now and again a little "Rocket Queen" does a body good.
