Boring, weak script, crappy acting, sound was terrible. Like they recorded it in a gymnasium. :puke:
Really bad!
Except for Rachel Weisz.

1. But Peter Stormare played a good Satan.
He portrayed him as a complete nutter.

22. I liked Peter Stormare as well
(Also, the oft praised--and deservedly so Rachel Weisz)

Although her acitng here didn't really knock me out or anything, it was good, but the role hardly gives her room to blow up or any such thing.

4. That's what I thought
It's sometimes visually interesting, but totally pointless and boring as hell. I fell asleep and never bothered to watch the end before I took the DVD back.

19. She was GREAT in The Constant Gardener
And you got to see a little bit of her acting skills and her other assets as well. She is one of the most talanted and beautiful actresses on the "A-list scene" right now. She looked just as beautiful pregnant as she did before her pregnancy. A great actress and a sexy woman.

10. But it's....a Keanu Reeves movie!
That, of course, automatically signifies that's a pleasure from the very beginning to the end credits.

Well, now I'm disillusioned.

12. prior to The Matrix series
I had a rule about never seeing a Keanu film. I watched that surfer bank robber film and was scarred for life. The Matrix made me trust him again, that Constantine threw me right back into my anti-Keanu mood.

16. Richard Linklater (who I love) cast him in the lead for his adaptation
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 09:46 AM by Monkey see Monkey Do
of "A Scanner Darkly". Hopefully the animation effect will enhance his acting prowess:

I'm the same as you -- keep swearing off Keanu movies (Johnny Mnemonic was my absolute final straw for years) but occassionally he'll be in something where he's passable and you drop your guard. I saw Thumbsucker last week which he's only in for about 5 minutes, but it's such a painful 5 minutes it brings down the entire film.

18. I've seen worse
and from him, as well. He was good in Johnny Mnemonic. I've seen many of his films and he is improving in his acting skills, albeit slowly.

I thought the story was interesting and visually it was quite beautiful. The images of hell and the demons were intriguing. But I think he's been typecast in these types of films.
