Been listening to WSM-AM online all day...
Suddenly it's 1987, and I am working in a factory up in Cockeysville and living at my Grandmother's in Republi-southeastern Baltimore County and playing in a C&W band on weekends. Oh yeah, and driving a pickup truck.

No girlfriend to speak of..

The next year I quit the factory and went to grad school, and went to Nashville to play bass at the Bluebird Cafe with a friend of mind. Painted apartments that summer...worst job, ever.

Some of the music is still pretty good, though. They just played the original Hank Williams "Your Cheatin' Heart", and there's a Loretta Lynn song up now.

I drive a VW now, and instead of one girlfriend I've got two. But I digress...

1. WSM
Is about the ony place where you can hear Hank, Lefty, Loretta, and Vern Gosdin anymore..and the new stuff they play is pretty traditional-sounding stuff.
