Can someone help me with pop-up blockers?

I found one on the internet that says it is completely free and sounds okay...It's called "CleanMyPC™ Free PopUp Blocker". Does anyone know anything about this before I download it?....I'm very limited in my computer knowledge and all the little intricacies are way beyond me, so be warned in advance....Thanks in advance....

Edit: I downloaded "CleanMyPC™ Free PopUp Blocker" and the first thing I clicked on in the internet, I got another pop-up so forget that one.

1. Use Firefox instead of IE.
That's the easiest way to go.
