Squeech music live in Boston
Update: if you're coming to see me tomorrow (Friday the 31st) at the SkyBar (518 Somerville Ave.), please note that the first band listed, Architectural Metaphor, has bailed out.

Therefore we anticipate that we will be going on first at 9:00 instead of second at 10:00, so if your reason for attending this gig is that you wonder what sort of music I do, you'll have to get there earlier to actually hear it.

Of course it's a problem. Mrs. Squeech's Friday shift ends at 9, which as a practical matter means she doesn't get out the door until 9:30, and it takes 15 minutes minimum to get from Mall-land on the I-95 beltway to Somerville, so she'll walk in just about the time we're going into our last tune.

A bit of good news: we will be joined by the incomparable Cheryl Wanner on vocals.

3. Is your band named squeech? Can we hear any of it online?
Does Mrs. Squeech play in the band? Is Squeech your real name?

5. Actually
the name of the band is Tim Mungenast and his Pre-existing Conditions.

Tim has his own page at www.mungenast.com as well as a myspace page at www.myspace.com/timmungenast, and I think you can hear some of our music at both sites. Mrs. Squeech is not a member of the band. (The woman in the band photos drummed for us about five years ago.)

I called myself Squeech after my cat, who has since shuffled off this mortal coil. And I named him after Frank Zappa's last cat, because I liked the name and because my cat had a really high-pitched mew (which made it difficult for him to present himself as the tough guy he really wanted to be). I'm not sure a band called Squeech would be a big draw...

7. Once more with feeling
Spamalot. (There's actually a store window in downtown Boston promoting the musical; it's got store mannequins dressed up in Arthurian armor and chain mail, surrounded by hundreds of cans of Spam. Sometimes I'm glad I live here.)
