Can I get some pity here?
Yesterday I was digging up a rose bush and the shovel broke.

When I went to pull the shovel blade out of the ground I sliced the shit out of my hand, and this morning it really hurts.

That is all. Thanks.

4. It's raining today
And I have to go out and plant the three bushes I dug up yesterday. They're just sitting in the carport right now.

I wish it would be springtime already. :(

:o

It's unlikely that there's anthrax in the soil, and I don't know what they could do about it if there was. A girl at my school got anthrax from the soil and lived to tell the tale.

I also had one 6 years ago when I stabbed myself in the foot with a rusty pitchfork that I was using to shovel manure.

25. I hope this inspiration brightens your day....
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

Okay, now for the "distract XemaSab from her pain" moment. Hey, guess what? We have a sharp shinned hawk living in the neighbor's redwood and hunting in our small field.

39. you need to make more of a statement
not only did the offensive shovel have the audacity to break, but to wound you too? PLEASE- this is beyond a mere trash removal! this calls for a grand gesture! march those pieces out to the curb in their own burial container and personally hand them to the trash collector. you need closure.
