3. I love Patsy. She had the most incredible voice!
Several musician/singer friends of mine, who don't like country music AT ALL, will listen to Patsy because they can appreciate the quality of her voice.

6. A beautiful lady with a voice that will never die
She died too soon - and can whup the ass of many of today's "singers".

7. Love my Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits CD
Yeah..it's all good!

(First recorded by Patsy Cline November 8, 1956.
Also recorded August 25, 1961.)

I go out walkin' after midnight
Out in the moonlight
Just like we used to do
I'm always walkin' after midnight searchin' for you

I walk for miles along the highway
Well, that's just my way
Of sayin' I love you
I'm always walkin' after midnight, searchin' for you

CHORUS:
I stop to see a weepin' willow
Cryin' on his pillow
Maybe he's cryin' for me
And as the skies turn gloomy
Night winds whisper to me
I'm lonesome as I can be

I go out walkin' after midnight
Out in the moonlight*
Just hopin' you may be
Somewhere a-walkin' after midnight, searchin' for me

14. Sigh...my 35 year old husband is in love with Patsy Cline. Actually, her
music reminds me of the sweetest time of my life. MrG and I, newly reacquainted, on rides. I'd sing along (poorly) he would drive, and love was found again. :)

15. The house band at the Grand Ole Opry caught fire every time
Cline was on stage. She was purported to be their all-time favorite singer. She would push the band and they'd push her right back. She could jump off a (musical) cliff and the band would be right with her--then everybody would float to a soft landing. It was that mutual respect and daring that great Musicians have for each other.

But the greatest thing about Patsy Cline was her attitude. She was going to do it Her Way, thank you very much. She opened the door for people like Janis Joplin and Grace Slick.

I :loveya: Me Some Cline!
