I cannot stand damned nosy people
what the HELL is this crap all over GD about what people are driving, or buying in the stores....

"Am I right to be pissed?"

NO, hell NO, you are not right. You are spying on people, and being a judgemental twit.

Furthermore, at my age (42 and 5 days) I have never fucking ONCE noticed what someone in front of me in a checkout line was driving. Ever. Over two damned decades of buying cat food and toilet paper, and I never once remember seeing what someone was buying, how they were paying for it, or how they were getting their shit home.

Jesus Christ on rollerblades, where did these damned Reagan era jerks crawl out from??????

1. Hey that reminds me. I meant to ask you something...
What kind of car do drive? What is your current street address and how many people live there? What are their relationships to you?

Just curious

3. How many times a week would you say you drank alcohol?
How many drinks per sitting would you say you consume on average?

Do you have a spouse? If so does He/ She drink alcohol? If so...

4. I count the number of items people have in the 10 item express lane
Edited on Sun Mar-05-06 06:21 PM by El Fuego
(One...two... Fifteen?!?)

I think an alarm should go off and a big pointing Finger of God should come down when people try to slip through the express cashier with TOO MANY ITEMS.

On edit:
Those same people invariably have a handful of coupons, need cigarettes, and have to pay by check.

for how long it takes them to write out one freakin' check.

18. Pay by check ...

...which they don't bother even to start making out until after all the items are rung and all the coupons deliberated and after the amount of the eventual check has been written in the register, duly deducted, and the entire checkbook balanced.

::flames, flames on my face::

10. No, I am saying that noticing that many details about people in checkout
lines is weird and nosy.

Bizarre. And to continue to think about it when they get home.

I just got home from Harris Teeter....couldn't tell you ONE thing the person in front of me bought. Or how they payed for it.

11. I often notice. But there's nothing at all wrong with noticing.
In fact, it's generally a good thing, to be aware of the surroundings.

The problem is passing judgment on what one notices.

And, quite honestly, yes, there are some things are worth judging negatively.

13. Personal Boundries
Edited on Sun Mar-05-06 06:37 PM by DanCa
The world has gotten to small and to loud for personal privacy. I personally am sick and tired of everyon butting into my buisness. You know as salt n peppa used to sing opinions are like assholes and everyone's got one. But what ticks me off is when people try to legislate thier opinion. That's when I get really angry.

29. OMG, I agree with you. I live in an apartment building where.......
.....everyone talks about anyone who happens to enter or exist the "Common Meeting Room" where the mail boxes are. The usual subjects up for discussion are how many visitors the person has or doesn't have in a given week, what they are wearing and what is wrong with it, what they have or don't have in their apartment, how friendly they are or aren't with other residents, what the person said at any given time and of course it is NEVER repeated as it was originally said, and on and on the list of subjects go.

I have more than once caused at least a couple of raised eyesbrows by asking the simple question of, "what business is it of ours"? "So what if they don't have as nice a stuff as you have, or has extremely nice things. Are you jealous?"

It's already gotten around the building, "Don't say anything in front of ....., she will tell you off." I absolutely loathe gossiping, condesending, bored people who feel it's their business to delve into other people's business. :wtf: :grr: :spank:

White robe flying out behind him.
Hair and beard streaming back in the breeze.
And wearing a pair of WWJD? hologram shades.
