Which attribute don't you like about your own country?
I don't mean the politics.

Like for example what I don't like about the Germans is their negativism. Everything is bad and all. That can get on one nerves I tell ya.

So what is it about your fellow countrymen in general you don't like?

47. Yeah, people aren't THAT much different wherever you go.
There are maybe subtle variations, but (at least in industrialised democracies with consumer economies) there are more similarities than differences (with the possible exception that patriotism is held to be less a virtue on the Continent than in most Anglo-Saxon countries, thanks to more first-hand experience of its dark side). And I know not everyone is a bastard, and that there are plenty of good people to balance out the swine who are fucking things up for everyone else...but sometimes it can be hard NOT to be a bit of a pessimist.

42. You mean The Sun
Because it's written by middle-class jingoistic shitheads for working-class jingoistic shitheads. That newspaper is only fit for a thinking person to wipe their arse with. :grr:

It's because patriotism is the first refuge of the shithead (to paraphrase), and patriotism to these particular shitheads means British victories. The only recent ones that they really care about happened in 1945 and 1966, and for most of these shitheads international football is simply war by other means. Ergo any football match against Germany instantly becomes D-Day.

I'm sorry. :(
