I got an iPod... suggestions?
I'm a big fan of jam bands (Grateful Dead, Phish, etc.), punk (Ramones, Damned, etc.), modern indie rock, classic country (Cash, Haggard, etc.), alt-country (Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams, predecessors like Gram Parsons) and a lot of garage rock (stuff like The Strokes). But I will listen to anything and will take strongly worded suggestions from ANY genre (If you think I MUST HAVE the latest by 50 Cent or The Game, lemme know!)

So... what should I put in my iPod?

1. Try out a band named Clutch
They've been around for about 15 years now, and every one of their CDs seems to have a different influence to it. They're hard rock, but will infuse blues, funk, gospel, and country into their music. If you'd like a starting point with them, let me know. :-)

15. As far as alt-country goes,
A few of my faves are Robbie Fulks, the Old 97's, the now-defunct Slobberbone  and a band called Slick 57.
