DU Album of the Year
Make your nominations. A poll is useless, because every album is is the album of the year to somebody.

My vote: Gilles Peterson Presents, the BBC Recordings. Live performances from his BBC Radio show. Bjork, The Roots and others blowing the doors off the studio. If you don't get this album you are a pathetic, miserable human being, and you probably don't even know it.

15. Isn't that from '04?
Ignore this pedantry if what everyone else means is "personal favourite albums I first heard in '05," which is a perfectly good question too.

7. Addendum
There were albums I wanted to get, but couldn't get them by my deadline. These include Mountain Goats - The Sunset Tree, Kate Bush - Aerial, Magic Numbers - self-titled, Anthony Hamilton - Ain't Nobody Worryin, Keyshia Cole - The Way It Is, John Legend - Get Lifted

I like some R&B, but I tend to be late in getting it.

10. I was surprised at how good that Franz Ferdinand is
It very nearly made my best list. The Jerra and Julie Gribble are tied, but rather than putting in ties, I gave the two slots to male artists, since as usual I have more female artists in my top 20.
