5. Saw it last night
and we've been discussing it all day. I'll have to NetFlix it and watch again in order to get it all.
But it's worth the time and examination.

9. Director/ Writer Steven Gaghen went to the high school I am at now
He was expelled about two days before he would have graduated, I heard it was for driving a golf cart through the halls. He didn't get his diploma, but I heard the administration is trying to patch up relations with him.

I saw the movie on Friday and thought it was good, though I was a bit confused for a lot of the movie. As always, Matt Damon was fantastic, and Chris Cooper was such a perfect evil Big Oil guy.

11. I wanted to slap Chris Cooper ....
The guy he was playing, that is -- he was so realistic! Even though I know he's not at all like that in real life. Can that man ever act!

12. saw it this evening.
very good. so complex i'm not absolutely sure it's meant to be fully understood. i think that was the point, to show the complexity of the situation we find ourselves in.

13. How violent is it?
I know there are some brutal scenes, but what percentage of the movie would you say is killing, torture, explosions, drowning, whatnot? You know - 10%, 50% or 90% I'm trying to decide whether to go this week.

15. Low violence-- like 10%, IMO.
The torture scene was the most brutal of all.

14. I saw it this afternoon.
Deeply thought provoking. Ironic how the CIA took out the most liberal of the Saudi family, the one that would have brought democracy and stability to his country in some respects, but not by the code of the religious Wahabbis. The corporations and US govt sided with the illiterate playboy prince instead of the one who had truly prepared for leadership of a nation.
