11. Funny you should start this

A few minutes ago I was thinking about how the lounge encourages civil discourse on DU.

Sometimes it's easy to come across someone with an opposing viewpoint, especially in GD, and think "what an asshole," but when someone you "know" from the lounge has a different opinion, it's like you can disagree with their opinion but still be friends.

It's a beautiful thing.

And I have adopted this as something that I often say to the newbies....
