Jackson is a cinematic god, but this is the movie he "always wanted to make," and so often that is the last movie you should make. It's evident from the trailer that he has given it everything, but there's too much craft for this story. His subject matter isn't worth the time he's spent on it.

Maybe I'll change my mind when I see it, but I certainly don't expect to love it. Get on with the goddamn Hobbit, already!

I saw a trailer several months ago, and thought it looked awesome. I never saw the original, but maybe I should. I think they just released it in DVD this week.

18. This really pisses me off.

There is absolutely no reason to remake King Kong. The original was perfect. These bastards need to create new material from new ideas. Leave the classics alone.

So I'm sad to say that the new Kong really looks great and I can't wait to see it. I'm so very ashamed.
